In support of the Westside Community Center and its revitalization program in Anderson, South Carolina, Design South renovated approximately 1,200 square feet of an abandoned elementary school to house three Pre-K classrooms. The renovation included the application of wall hung heat pumps and reuse of as many existing hard walls as possible to minimize the expense. The classroom wing had to be connected via a covered walkway to the rest of the facility for the other functions required for daily programs at the center.
