Anderson County Courthouse

Project:

Interior Renovation of Office Spaces
in Anderson County Courthouse

Client:

Anderson County

Scope:

Design South Professionals worked closely with Anderson County to provide condition assessment and recommendations for various departments to be located in the vacant spaces on the first floor and second floor of the 1990 County Courthouse located at 100 South Main Street in the heart of Anderson, South Carolina.

The Clerk of Court and Family Court Records had outgrown their current space allocation. Family Court planned to relocate and the Clerk of Court planned to expand, increasing both spatial needs by 200 percent.

The Office of the Solicitor also relocated from their current location on the second floor to the first floor. The decision to relocate created additional square footage to accommodiate the needs of the solicitor, assistant solicitors, investigators, victim advocates, and qualified staff personnel. Pre-Trial Intervention (PTI) and Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) moved to occupy the space vacated by the Solicitor on the second floor.
