We wrote a preliminary engineering report (PER) is to address the need to provide redundancy and additional capacity for the existing 30-inch line that transfers water from the water treatment plant to the remote clearwells. Based on the PER, the proposed 36” main preliminary route follows Buckskin Road, Pistol Club Road, Saluda Dam Road, Olive Street, Jeanette Street, and Blue Ridge Street. The preliminary route is approximately 34,600 feet in length and will involve procurement of rights-of-way across approximately 110 parcels. The current effort includes assistance with the acquisition of private rights-of-way.
