| SCOPE: |
| The Water System Master Plan also included the continued expansion of the Don L. Moore WTP to 18 MGD. This was Phase 2 of a two-phase project and included construction of a new 4.5 MW standby/peak shaving generating system, an additional 75-foot diameter backwash water holding tank, and an additional 44-foot diameter sludge thickener. Construction of site improvements included access road paving, additional sidewalks, site process piping, stormwater piping, perimeter fencing and landscaping. Also, the gravity filters were able to be high-rated because of the addition of plate settlers in existing sedimentation basins. |
