| SCOPE: |
| Planning, preliminary design, design, and construction services for the installation of a 2.5 Megawatt Backup Power System that included two 1275 kW engine generator sets for standby power operation. The generators were also connected to the Greer electric utility grid to provide peak sharing export operation. This project generally consisted of a 40'-0" x 41'-4" masonry building to house two 1275 kW diesel engine generator sets; a masonry switchgear room connecting the generator building to the existing electrical control building; electrical switchgear controls and wiring to connect the diesel engine generator sets to the existing electrical system and to control and monitor the operation of the generators; a fuel storage facility consisting of two vertical steel tanks, containment structure, and associated piping and appurtenances; site modifications to accommodate the facility including grading, relocation of a site roadway, paving, sitewalks, grassing, relocation of existing site lighting, and relocation of existing site water lines; and two 1275 kW diesel engine generator sets. |
