SCOPE:
The Phase I consists of both transmission and distribution system improvements. Transmission improvements will include approximately 13,600 feet of 24-inch transmission main along Highway 101 between downtown Greer and Brockman Road between Highway 101 and I-85, approximately 2,800 feet of 16-inch transmission main along Highway 101 between Brockman, McClimon road and the BMW Tank, and approximately 15,200 feet of 24-inch transmission main along highway 101 and Buncombe Road between Locust Hill Road and Highway 14. Distribution system improvements will include approximately 43,400 feet of 12, 8, and 6-inch lines and related appurtenances at 22 locations throughout the system. The project included three electrically controlled pressure reducing stations, specially sized blowoffs and other related appurtenances. The transmission main routing was along busy 4 lane corridors in and around the City of Greer. The project also included a bore under the six lane wide portion of I-85 near BMW.
