Scope:
Anderson County constructed the Dolly M. Cooper Park in Powdersville located in northeastern Anderson County. The initial phase of the project included the main entrance to the park off Old Anderson Highway and a manned recycling convenience center. Design South provided final design, permitting, bidding and construction administration services.
The project consisted of approximately 13,500 cubic yards of earthwork. The site entrance roadway included approximately 2,200 square yards of asphalt pavement and 1,500 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter. The Recycling Convenience Center site included approximately 700 square yards of asphalt pavement, 750 square yards of concrete pavement and 600 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter. Incidental storm drainage, utilities, fencing and landscaping were also included.
