Scope:
The expansion of the Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant for the City of Anderson was designed to expand the rated capacity from 6.1 to 9.5 MGD. The project involved the following major improvements:
• Replacement of the existing influent bar screens.
• Replacement of the existing grit removal system.
• The addition of a third 3.4 MGD treatment train.
• The addition of a 9.5 MGD tertiary filtration system.
• Replacement of the existing chlorination and sulfur dioxide feed equipment.
• The addition of a chlorine contact tank.
• SCADA system upgrade.
• Associated site work, plant piping and electrical additions.
• Upgrades or replacement of existing process equipment and plant painting.
