Westmoreland Bypass Waterline

Client:

Greer Commission of Public Works
Greer, South Carolina

Scope:

Significant growth has occurred for the City of Greer and the neighboring portions of Greenville and Spartanburg Counties. The Greer Commission of Public Works expanded its water transmission system in the southern portion of the system, sparked by growth in industrial, residential and commercial developments. The Village at Pelham planned development, south of Interstate 85, is underway and includes a new hospital for the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

This project included the water transmission service for the Village Hospital for adequate pressure and necessary fire flow along the busy South Pelham Road corridor. The project consisted of installation of approximately 6,400 linear feet of 16-inch ductile iron waterline, including five system connections, three fire hydrants and related appurtenances. The project was designed, permitted and constructed under a tight time frame to coincide with the hospital construction schedules.
